As Tropical Storm Gordon approaches, it is important to keep an eye on the local news and media (televised and internet) to get updated information about school and court closures. The Louisiana State Bar Association  and local courts will generally post information about closures. The Louisiana Supreme Court website also has information about court closures. If your court isn’t closed, then you should make every effort to attend. If your court is closed, then you should keep in contact with your attorney to discuss rescheduling. Your safety is extremely important. Make necessary preparations for the storm, stay tuned to local news, and contact your attorney’s office to confirm the necessity of attending your scheduled court appearance. Contact the Borghardt Law Firm for questions.
