BLF Tip of the Week

So you missed a traffic court date or failed to pay a traffic fine, what’s the big deal? It’s just a traffic ticket, right? Think again.

Missing traffic ticket court dates can lead to the issuing of bench warrants for your failure to appear. What’s worse, you may not know the warrant has been issued until your next traffic stop, when a police officer arrests you on the bench warrant.

Additionally, traffic bench warrants and failure to pay traffic fines can also lead to a suspension of your driver’s license. It can be expense to reinstate your license and if you drive on a suspended license you can be charged with a crime.

BLF Tip: Handle your traffic matters before court or on your assigned court dates to avoid the issuance of bench warrants or license suspensions. If you would like help with your traffic ticket or getting a bench warrant recalled, contact the Borghardt Law Firm and we will assist you.
